Rising music and theatre educator in the New York City area and an avid musical theatre and Shakespeare performer.
Music and theatre are transformative and unifying expressions of emotion. Learning the arts is a process of collaboration between student and teacher. Teachers are creative and inspiring facilitators who make learners into adaptive citizens. Teaching is a discovery of information between instructors and students as equal partners in the exploration and utilization of shared knowledge. Teaching and learning music and theatre requires being open-minded, conscious that the arts can be an infinite expression of life itself, and thoughtful that there is no wrong way to know and experience them. When students leave my classroom I want them to embrace taking risks, to explore their identities, and to express themselves freely and honestly. I want them to change their world through their art.
